Israel Reports Missile from Yemen; Sirens Sound Across Cities

On Sunday, the Israeli military reported that a surface-to-surface missile fired from Yemen landed in an unpopulated area of central Israel. Although sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and other central cities, no injuries were reported. The missile triggered air raid sirens, sending residents into shelters, and loud booms were heard due to the launch of missile interceptors.

The attack comes after a previous incident in July, when Iran-aligned Houthi forces in Yemen launched a long-range drone strike on Tel Aviv, resulting in casualties and prompting an Israeli airstrike on Houthi targets near Yemen’s Hodeidah port.
